West Bend First Church of God is part of the Church of God movement whose United States offices are located in Anderson, Indiana. We are a Christ-centered, Bible-believing congregation committed to sharing the love of Jesus, serving our community, and welcoming people into the family of God.
The Church of God movement began in 1881 within the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition. Early leaders, including Daniel S. Warner and Mary Cole, called Christians to place their faith in Jesus Christ above denominational divisions.
The movement was founded upon three important truths: salvation through Jesus Christ, unity among all believers, and holy living through the power of the Holy Spirit. Rather than adopting a formal human creed, the Church of God looks to the Bible as its foundation for faith and daily living.
This message continues today through a worldwide family of congregations united by the belief that Jesus must remain at the center of everything we do—Jesus is the subject.
